I love receiving Christmas cards. Sure, I’ll grumble a little if they appear before my birthday (insert December baby rant here). My favourite part is the pictures of kids that I don’t get to see all the time, and the Christmas letters updating us about all the news that we may have missed out on. I like to display the cards in my kitchen all month long and really soak all the joy out of them.

I’ll admit it, I’m a sucker for cute stationary. I’m not sure how I came to be this way. I suspect it has something to do with being crafty and personalizing everything that I ever owned – whether it be a simple notebook or not. Great design, great style and totally cute cards never goes out of style.

So I chose our holiday cards this year early, just because it brings me great joy!  This year, instead of going for that perfect posed family shot, I picked out 4 of my favourite photos from the last few months and added them to the back of our card. (No spoilers here friends and family – you’ll have to wait to receive the card!)

This year, I ordered a joyful design from Minted. I got to know them at Blogpodium this year, and my sister actually ordered her gorgeous wedding invitations off their website. All of the designs at Minted are unique ones that are from independent artists. Best of all, you can add in your family photo (or photos if you’re a paparazzi like me). 

Their Find it Fast feature allows you to check out what your favourite photos will look like in the card. No more guesswork if it will look okay! The other feature that rocked my socks is that Minted will custom address all of your envelopes for you with the recipients addresses. You simply upload all of your addresses via spreadsheet or individually. This just saved me HOURS of work. Don’t have all the addresses?
