TheInspiredHome.org // 30 Stocking Stuffer Ideas for anyone on your Christmas list!

Looking for some stocking stuffer ideas for that hard-to-buy-for person on your list? Here are 30 different ideas. Have fun with them!

  1. Gift Cards – Clothing stores, gas stations, restaurants, video games, music, movies, malls, electronics stores, the list is endless.
  2. Socks – Buy them something different! Wool socks, superhero socks, fuzzy socks, anything they wouldn’t normally buy themselves.
  3. Underwear – The same thing applies here as with socks – buy them some “funderwear” as I call it.
  4. Hair supplies – Styling aids such as gel, hairspray, shampoo, etc. For women & girls, get a nice hairbrush and some elastics or clips.
  5. Beauty Supplies – Shaving aids for men; perfume, body/hand lotions, nail polish, lip balm for women.
  6. Dental Supplies – A new toothbrush, some fun flavoured dental floss, tooth whitening strips.
  7. Candy – Choose something a little different than your classic Toblerone. Visit a local candy shop and spend a little more than usual on some nice chocolate or other sweets.
  8. Gourmet Treats – Not everyone likes chocolate. Some people like popcorn, brittle, cookies, mini liquor bottles or salty snacks.
  9. Office/Craft Supplies – Anyone who works in an office loves writing with a nice pen. Kids will love new crayons or markers.
  10. Gag Gifts – Book stores usually have a rack near the front of those little boxes with fun gadgets, toys or mini-books in them.
  11. Sports Items – Personalized golf markers, a new head/sweatband, fancy sweat-wicking socks, batting gloves, etc.
  12. Coffee/Tea – It’s always nice to get a box of K-cups/Tassimo pods/fresh ground coffee/tea bags in your favourite flavour.
  13. Cell Phone Accessories – A new case, a charger for the car, etc.
  14. Winter Items – New gloves, an ice scraper, ear muffs, handwarmers, toque (fancy Canadian term for a hat!).
  15. Clementines – Seriously, who doesn’t like clementines?
  16. Pez Dispensers – Just like the clementines, who doesn’t like Pez?
  17. Keychain – This is a great item you can add a personal touch to.
  18. Magazines – Buy them a magazine they usually read or get them something new you think they might enjoy.
  19. Kitchen Gadgets – Bottle opener for the beer drinker, fancy garlic press for the chef, a kid-size apron for the budding chef.
  20. Show Tickets – Broadway shows, Disney On Ice, local productions, even just a movie, there’s something out there for everyone.
  21. Batteries – Everyone needs more AA and AAA batteries in their life.
  22. CD/USB Key – Download some of their favourite music/TV shows/books/games. It’s the mix-tape of the millennium.
  23. Picture Frame – Print your favourite picture of you and receiver and put it in a frame that represents your relationship.
  24. Christmas Ornament – It’s a tradition in my house: I buy everyone a new ornament for the tree each year. It makes the tree a bit more special than generic decorations.
  25. Gadgets for their Hobby – What are they into? Visit a store that specializes in their hobby (biking, baking, crafts, geekery) and ask the staff what they suggest.
  26. Stickers – Kids love stickers. For adults, get some nice return-address labels. For the mom, get some Mabel’s Labels. For the geek, a decal for their computer or phone.
  27. Movies – Buy someone a DVD or Blu-Ray of their favourite movie or one you think they might really enjoy.
  28. Mug – A new mug for the coffee or tea drinker. A new sippy or plastic cup for kids. A personalized wine or whiskey glass for the adult.
  29. Wallet – A nice new leather wallet for hubby. A change-purse for mom. A toy purse for the little one.
  30. Personalized Coupons – You can make these for just about anything. What people want most? The chance to spend some free time doing what they love such as watching sports, going shopping, or anything else guilt-free and kid-free!
