Is it Friday yet? Friday night is Family Movie Night at our place.
Was September as tough on your house as it was at ours? Sheesh. We had a doozy. Our son was nervous about starting the school year and has had a hard time settling into a routine. Our little girl entered JK at a different school and suddenly we had a bus schedule, another to walk to school, tears, new bedtimes, lunchbox wars and multiple trips to the lost and found. We really, really needed a little chill out time and a family movie night.
Can everybody see?
Everyone has felt the aftershocks of a bumpy start. This has made our weekly family movie night feel even more special. This week, we got the whole gang together to watch Zootopia. It’s just one of many new family movies available on Netflix. Of course, it took a little while to get all the ‘guys’ ready, then make sure they could all see the screen and prepare all those imaginary snacks, but once everyone settled in, it was calm and quiet.
Do you want to play a game?
I thought this week would be a good time to try something new and add an extra layer of fun to our movie party, so I printed off Netflix Movie Night Bingo Cards. My little crew wasn’t interested in any extra distractions so I tucked the cards into the cupboard for future use. You can print off your own bingo cards here.
Next Up
With so many Disney Films now available, we’re going to have a hard time choosing what to watch next. I’m really looking forward to sharing Cool Runnings with the kids – it’s one of my all-time favourites, but they are still interested in cartoons so…yeah, I don’t get to pick.
Here’s a peek at some of the titles released this September.
