Pom Pom Sorting
I recently ordered a number of new craft supplies for our Montessori-inspired activities from Baldwin, our favourite school supply store. If you are local to Burlington, Ontario you can also pick it up from their warehouse.
A fun activity to help kids learn about organization is Pom Pom Sorting. It is obviously a sorting activity but it also promotes colour recognition. Besides that, what kid doesn’t want to play with pom poms?!

To make it more difficult you could also sort by colour & size instead of strictly by colour.
