Miss O celebrated her 2nd birthday just over a week ago. This year’s theme was Dora complete with a 52″ Dora balloon. Last year for her 1st birthday, I decided not to adopt a specific theme and simply stuck with “pink”. I figure I have many years to come where she will request a specific theme so I stuck with something basic for the first party. The upside to doing a party in one colour is that you can reuse most of the items at future parties. The Dora theme this year allowed me to reuse a number of things from the pink party last year. Check out some of the highlights from Miss O’s Pink First Birthday Party.

Pink Birthday Party!
These are just some of the highlights from Miss O’s very first birthday party. The pink theme looked fantastic and was easy to do. Any party store will have a variety of decorations separated by colour. Instead of buying tablecloths, I purchased a roll of pink vinyl from my local party store – this allowed me to cut the perfect length of cloth for each table. Pink paper and a printer with colour ink are another simple way to decorate exactly how you want. This theme can very easily be transferred into a variety of colours including blue for your little boy!
