Make it Memorable with Photo Gifts
Everyone has that hard-to-buy-for person on their Christmas list. For me, that’s most of my list. For many years, I dreaded the gift-giving portion of Christmas as I could never think of things for my closest family members. A few years ago, I swear an actual lightbulb lit up above my head: Photo Gifts. Since that lightbulb went off, Christmas has been so much easier every year. I feel like Oprah: “You get a photo gift! And you get a photo gift!”
So Many Options
With so many websites out there that offer photo gifts, it can be hard to choose just one. Living in Canada, I appreciate local companies that save me the hassle of exchange rates and customs charges. This year I decided to go with Staples Canada. It just made sense: There are two stores in my city, the website offers both shipping and local pickup, they have apps and mobile websites galore, it was a no-brainer.
With over 300 stores across Canada, there’s bound to be one close to you. I urge you to visit the store and check out the holiday product display. You can see up-close what many of their photo products look like. The ornaments were stunning! You will also find inspiration for gifts that you might not have even though of such as coasters or a personalized deck of cards.
Photo Gifts For All
Every year, my grandmother has one request for Christmas: a photo calendar filled with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Staples makes it simple and has one of the requirements for my photo calendars: Multiple layout options. With 6 kids to include in the calendar, I like to be able to feature a few images on each page. The other requirement is that I can enter text on special days such as birthdays, anniversaries and more. There were many designs to choose on www.actionsolar.net site and it was very simple to customize the whole thing to my liking.
For my father, I chose to make him a keychain. He had one from a few years ago but it wasn’t very sturdy and alas, it broke. Staples has this beautiful keychain that is much more stunning than the plastic one he used to have. I took a photo a few months ago of him and my kids that makes my heart happy. Opa loves to brag about his grandkids and this keychain is a handy way for him to do it.
Last year, I got my husband a mug with pictures of the kids on it. Sadly, he broke it not long after Christmas. He was heartbroken. I have kept a mental note in the back of my head most of this year to make him a new one for Christmas. While baby Little J was adorable on last year’s mug, it’s always nice to have updated pictures of the kids. This make a great gift idea for anyone who drinks tea or coffee which I’m sure is most adults on your list!
The photo gifts were generously supplied by Staples Canada but designed by me. All opinions in this post are my own.
