Letter C Crafts: C is for Cat
I’m a cat lover. Both of my parents always had cats. Since moving out, I have always had cats. Our current kitties are Goomba and Toad (those are Super Mario characters for those not in the know). My kids adore these two cats and they adore them right back. We couldn’t have asked for two better, kid-loving cats. It took a while for the cats to get used to the kids but now they are inseparable.
To honour our beloved cats, I came up with a Letter C craft, a cat craft for Miss O! I love a good alphabet craft and this one is no exception.
What You’ll Need
- 1 sheet of paper in white or cream
- 1 sheet of paper in black or brown
- Pom poms in “cat colours” such as white, grey, black, brown, yellow
- Pipe cleaners in “cat colours” cut into 1/4’s – ensure you have some black ones for whiskers
- Googly eyes
- Glue
- Black marker
- Pencil

First up, you’ll need to cut a letter C out of your black or brown paper. To do this, use the Arial Black font in your word processor and type the letter C. Boost up the font size so it takes up most of the page. Print it and cut it out. Use this as a stencil on your black/brown paper. Cut out the letter C. Use some of the excess black paper to cut out triangles for ears and a nose.
Have your little one glue the big letter C to the white/cream paper along with the ears and nose. Let them decorate their kitty! We did stripes with pipe cleaners and added spots with pom poms. Glue on the googly eyes and the pipe cleaner whiskers. Take the black marker to give the kitty a mouth.
Smelly Cat
Having had cats all of my life, I know they can stink. Well, their litter box can stink, especially when you have more than one cat. There is no way to hide a litter box in your home no matter how much you try. This means that finding a great-quality litter is ever-so-important to help deal with the inevitable stench. We like to use Arm & Hammer™ Clump and Seal™ Slide™ Cat Litter. It has a patented formula with “EZ Clean Technology” that helps stuck on messes slide out easily. Plus it delivers a 7-day odour-free home – guaranteed! No scrubbing, no scraping, no odour – no problem! If you have cats, you know that these two things are very important when it comes to litter box cleanliness.
With six kids between the three authors here at The Inspired Home between the ages of 2-8, you can bet we have a great collection of crafts for kids.
