TheInspiredHome.org // No Candy Easter Carrot Treat Bags that you can make in less than 5 minutes!

I love finding new and fun ways to incorporate non-candy treats into my kids’ Easter baskets. I’m all for a little chocolate but it’s nice to give them something else to munch on. Healthier treats will go over better if they are presented in a fun way and these no candy Easter treat bags are guaranteed to be a hit. Check out my felt carrots from last year. The felt carrots require a little bit of time, effort and crafty abilities. I’m here now to show you a super-simple way to make non-candy treats look awesome in your kid’s Easter baskets. These will take you no more than 5 minutes to make. Talk about the perfect craft.

Items Required

  • clear disposable icing bags (can be found in the baking section of just about any store)
  • green ribbon
  • goodies for inside the bag – there is a list of ideas below

How-To

Pour your goodies into the bag. Make sure to push a piece or two as far down the point of the bag as you can manage before pouring in the rest – this will help ensure you get a more pointy carrot shape. Fill the bag about 3/4 of the way full so you have room to close it.

Using a piece of green ribbon, tie a bow snugly near the top of the bag.

Fluff out the top nicely so it’s a bit more like a carrot shape.

Voila! You just instantly made those non-candy Easter treats look awesome. Did you time yourself? I bet it took you less than 5 minutes!

Treat Ideas

  • Goldfish crackers
  • Annie’s Cheddar Bunnies
  • trail mix (I used one called Paradise Mix that is all dried fruit)
  • dried mangoes and apricots
  • baby carrots (if using perishables, don’t assemble the bag until last minute or they will dry out)
  • kumquats (see above)
  • pretzels
  • fruit snacks (Annie’s sells bunny fruit snacks)
  • Cheez-Its or other cheesy crackers
  • Corn nuts
  • Soy nuts
  • BBQ or honey-roasted peanuts

You can also fill the bag with little toys! Any small toy like Shopkins, marbles or even crayons would look fun in the clear bags!
